The Werzers Hotel Resort has a spacious, on-site beach with shallow, direct access to the lake, a sunbathing lawn, jetties, sun loungers and parasols, as well as a dedicated area for guests with their four-legged friends. You can enjoy the lake from the front row, right at your feet – with sand between your toes, sunbathing spots and water fun for the whole family.

Yes. The Werzers Hotel Resort offers a unique setting for seminars, conferences, weddings, and family and corporate celebrations. A range of function rooms, extensive gardens, the Anna W. bistro in the basement, and the Bootshaus café-restaurant on the lakeside promenade all help to create the perfect atmosphere. For golf enthusiasts, there are excellent golf courses (such as our partner course in Moosburg) in the immediate vicinity. The new Werzers beach volleyball court is perfect for spiking and digging.

The Werzers Hotel Resort Pörtschach is a 4* Superior hotel situated right on the shores of Lake Wörthersee. On the historic Werzer Promenade, we combine relaxing and varied family and wellness holidays with sport, indulgence and celebrations of all kinds – right on the waterfront of what is arguably Austria’s most beautiful lake. The WERZERS looks back on a long history in tourism on Lake Wörthersee. Its origins date back to 1780. Anna Werzer was the grand dame and a pioneer of tourism on Lake Wörthersee, and she brought the Gold Trophy in tennis to Pörtschach.

From Klagenfurt, take the A2 Südautobahn motorway towards Villach until you reach the “Pörtschach West” exit. From Villach, take the “Pörtschach Ost” exit. Follow the signs into the town centre and then on towards the lake – the hotel resort is situated directly at Werzerpromenade 8.

The hotel resort is situated right on the shores of Lake Wörthersee at Werzerpromenade 8, 9210 Pörtschach am Wörthersee, Austria. From Pörtschach railway station, you can reach us easily in about 10 minutes on foot along the lakeside promenade.

Parking spaces are available for hotel guests directly on the hotel premises. These include outdoor spaces or paid spaces in our covered car park. Day visitors and restaurant guests should use the public, paid car park at the Werzers Hotel Resort’s tennis courts. Please remember to take a ticket there.

Yes. Pörtschach am Wörthersee railway station is only about a 10-minute walk from the Hotel Resort – a leisurely stroll along the lakeside promenade. During the summer months, the hotel is also easily accessible by Wörthersee ferry; there is a ferry landing stage right on the Werzerpromenade. We’d be happy to help you plan your journey.

Late check-out is available at the Werzers Hotel Resort Pörtschach, subject to availability. With the special “SPA & Beach Late Check-Out” option, for an additional charge  (please enquire directly at reception) per person, you can continue to make full use of the large lake-side spa area and the beach on your day of departure, after checking out of your room at 11:00, until 17:00. Sun loungers and parasols, as well as a fresh (on-loan) beach bag containing towels and a bathrobe, and free parking are all included. Please enquire at reception about availability.

The Werzers Welt am Wörthersee comprises not only the Hotel Resort Pörtschach but also the Werzers Seehotel Wallerwirt in Techelsberg, the historic bathhouse within the resort, and the Bootshaus café-restaurant. As a guest, you’ll benefit from the links between the establishments – please do get in touch if you’d like to book a table, arrange a spa treatment or visit one of our sister establishments.

The Werzers Hotel Resort treats you to regional and international cuisine – both in our on-site restaurant and at the Bootshaus café-restaurant, situated right on the Werzer Promenade. Your stay usually includes our half-board package, featuring a generous breakfast buffet and a multi-course dinner. Fresh local produce, seasonal specialities and a stunning view of Lake Wörthersee – first-class enjoyment right on the waterfront.
